Water and sewer damages can't wait.

Whether it's a burst pipe, storm flooding, sewer backup, or any other source, every minute that passes
increases the risk of mold growth, structural damage, and health hazards. As soon as the water enters your
home or business, it begins soaking into walls, floors, and belongings. Dealing with the water can be
overwhelming. That's why our certified restoration team is on call 24/7, ready to respond immediately and
restore your property quickly.

Types of Water Damages We Handle

  • Burst pipes

  • Plumbing leaks

  • Sewage backups and overflows

  • Appliance leaks

  • Basement flooding

Our Emergency Response Process

  1. Immediate Dispatch - from first contact, our technicians have one hour to get everything needed for the job and get on the road. Response time can vary between 30 minutes and 3 hours, depending on how far away the job is.

  2. On-Site Assessment - you will usually get to meet one of our manager or crew chiefs before anyone else. This person will walk you through the process, handle your paperwork, assess the damage, and let you know what the next few weeks or months may look like.

  3. Water Extraction - if there is standing water onsite, one of our technicians will use our extraction unit to
carefully remove the water so that we can start to dry the area. This step is also where we will
complete emergency demolition, like removing carpet, padding, and insulation. These are things that have a
high chance of molding very quickly.

  4. Drying - After extraction and emergency demolition, our technicians will set up our drying equipment.
This equipment will lower the humidity in the area and promote proper drying. After this equipment is set,
we are officially out of Emergency Response stage, and into the next steps.

  5. Beyond Emergency Protocol - after that first night, we may come back to complete more demolition and
set more equipment. Severe damages can require a lot of demolition before the area will dry fully, and we'll
make sure to handle each step carefully. After everything is completely dry, we will start on cleaning and
restoring the affected area. For basic water damages, this mean jumping right into putting it together- for a
sewer damage, we'll have to clean and swab the area before we can proceed. Once it passes inspection, we
    put it back together.

Frequently Asked Questions

How soon should I call after a leak or backup?

For small or old damages- or damages in a minor area, like an unfinished basement- calling within one or two
business days won't hurt. For large damages, standing water, or damages from sources that haven't been
fixed (like a broken supply line), it's best to call immediately. We have the knowledge and availability to stop
the leak and handle the aftermath.

Is it safe to stay in a water damaged home?

There are many factors here, but the answer is usually yes. If it was a sewer damage that affected some of
the main living areas such as the kitchen or bedrooms, then it's probably best to stay somewhere else
during repairs. This is also true for damages that result in the removal, damage, or loss of the kitchens or
bathrooms. If it's not safe to stay, your insurance may cover alternate housing. We will help you navigate this
process.

Can you save my carpets, flooring, and furniture?

Maybe. For clean water damages, it's possible to save furniture, carpet, and flooring that isn't swelling,
delaminated, buckling, molded, or otherwise irreparably damaged. For sewer damages, ground water, or
water that's been sitting for multiple days or weeks, it's much less likely to save these items due to the
bacteria in the water and structural damage to the items.

Does ServiceMaster handle insurance directly?

Mostly, yes. We'll handle most of the communication with your insurance company. There are some things
we can't do without you, but for the most part you'll be working directly with us. We don't have big call
centers that will bounce you around from department to department. When you call ServiceMaster by
Creative Restoration, you'll be talking to a friendly face who knows your situation.
